Italy is a love affair between luxury and La Dolce Vita. 
Something about being there makes you breathe a little easier and walk a little slower, giving you the space to open your eyes and appreciate the centuries of beauty that live on- even in today's bustling modern world. 
 
This trip to the land of luxe leather was laser-focused on observing and learning. The novelty of being in an Italian workshop will never wear off, but I was there with a new determination to sharpen my skills and improve for you.
 
Here is what the Italians taught me about building a luxury brand- and this time, I learned through a new lens. 




True Luxury Starts With Family 



Shoemaking has been the pinnacle of Italian tradition for centuries, cementing Italy as the world leader of luxury craftsmanship and innovation. 
 
Footwear is in the blood of our artisans. What started as one person's trade has cultivated into a multigenerational family business- the true meaning of lasting legacy. 
 
Luxury cannot be sustained without the talent of the families who make our industry a way of life.



Stay True To Your Aesthetic, While Still Improving 




From the streets of Bologna to the artisan studios of Marche, this trip opened my eyes to the ways we can expand our style selection. 
 
While still keeping with our Luna Selene essence, I am excited to continue including you in the A/ B testing of our potential products- we have a LOT of samples coming!

It can be tempting to see what is trending and want to follow it, especially in the early stages when you want major success to happen immediately. 
 
That said, brands that base their ethos on following every micro trend often end up losing their identity.
 
At this point, they play the game of "who does it the cheapest," and can succumb to decreased quality, sustainability, and customer brand loyalty. 
 
We are building Luna Selene as a supreme legacy brand, and doing so will take time.

A fierce lover of mid-twentieth-century fashion, her designs are classically inspired, feminine, and comfortable.

Her vision has evolved since Luna Selene launched in the Fall of 2020, and she continues to create designs that are inspired and influenced by the women she meets every day.
